Booking Terms and Conditions
Direct Bookings, Riad Dar Num
Version of 16/08/2026. English translation of the French Conditions Générales de Vente. Provided for information purposes only; the French version prevails (see clause 16).
1. Purpose and scope
These Booking Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern bookings made directly with Riad Dar Num (via
www.riaddarnum.com, by email, by telephone or by messaging), excluding bookings made through third-party
platforms (Airbnb, agencies, etc.), which are governed by those platforms' own terms.
Any booking implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms, which are provided to the guest no later than at the
time of booking confirmation.
2. Operator
Riad Dar Num is operated by IH NUM, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) incorporated under Moroccan
law with a share capital of 100,000 dirhams, registered office: 332 Boulevard Brahim Roudani, Résidence
Rayhane, 5th floor, apt 21, Maârif, Casablanca, Morocco. Casablanca Trade Register 687383, ICE
003770115000053. Contact: riaddarnum@gmail.com.
3. Nature of the service: whole-house rental
1. Riad Dar Num is rented exclusively on a whole-house basis: the guest has the use of the entire riad for the
duration of the stay, with dedicated staff.
2. Maximum capacity: 9 people, excluding infants. The number of people accommodated may not exceed the
number of guests declared at the time of booking; the riad reserves the right to refuse access to any
additional undeclared person, without refund.
3. Minimum length of stay: 2 nights.
4. The rate includes breakfast, daily housekeeping and concierge service.
4. Booking and confirmation
1. Every booking request (via the website form or in writing) must state the dates of stay, the number of
guests (including children and their ages) and any additional services required.
2. A booking becomes firm and final only once (a) the riad has confirmed availability and the rate in writing
and (b) the deposit provided for in clause 6 has been received.
3. If the deposit is not paid within 5 days of confirmation of availability, the dates are released without further
notice.
5. Prices and taxes
1. Prices are quoted in euros, per night, for the entire riad, according to the season and the number of guests
(based on 2 people in low season, with a supplement per person per night from the 3rd person onwards, in
accordance with the rates published on the website or communicated in writing).
2. The tourist promotion tax (TPT) and the municipal accommodation tax are not included; they are charged
in addition, per person per night, at the rates in force in Marrakech.3. Additional services (dinners, airport transfers, massages, excursions, etc.) are charged in addition, at the
rates communicated on site or on request.
4. The applicable price is the one confirmed in writing at the time of booking; it cannot subsequently be
changed, except where the guest requests a change to the stay.
6. Payment
1. A deposit of 40% of the total value of the stay is payable at the time of booking, in order to secure the stay
and the exclusive use of the riad. It is paid by bank transfer.
2. The balance, being 60% of the total, is payable no later than 30 days before arrival, by bank transfer or in
cash (euros or dirhams).
3. For any booking made less than 30 days before arrival, the full value of the stay is payable at the time of
booking.
4. If the balance is not paid when due and a reminder remains unanswered for 7 days, the riad may cancel the
booking and retain the deposit.
7. Cancellation or amendment by the guest
Any cancellation or request to amend must be notified in writing (email being sufficient evidence). The
following scale applies from the date the notification is received:
Cancellation received | Terms |
|---|---|
No-show, late arrival or early
departure | No refund will be granted |
Less than 30 days before arrival | The full value of the stay, being 100%, is due; no refund will be made |
More than 60 days before arrival | No charge: the 40% deposit is refunded in full |
Between 60 and 30 days before arrival | The 40% deposit is retained (the balance is not yet due) |
1. These terms apply to all bookings, given the exclusive nature of the whole-house rental and the fact that
every room in the riad is held.
2. The number of guests may be reduced up to 30 days before arrival, in which case the per-person
supplements are recalculated; after that date, the confirmed rate remains payable in full.
3. Requests to amend (dates, duration) are accepted subject to availability; failing which, the cancellation
scale applies.
4. The riad strongly recommends taking out cancellation and travel insurance covering these charges.
8. Cancellation by the riad
Should the riad cancel a confirmed booking (other than in a case of force majeure), the guest will be refunded in
full within 14 days. The riad will also endeavour to propose equivalent alternative accommodation in Marrakech,
without this constituting an obligation to achieve a result. No compensation may be claimed beyond the refund
of the sums paid.
9. Arrival, departure and formalities
1. Check-in: from 3:00 pm. Check-out: before 11:00 am. Late arrivals and late departures are possible on
prior request, subject to availability.
2. In accordance with Moroccan regulations, each guest must present a valid identity document or passport
on arrival for registration purposes (police record). Access may be refused otherwise, without refund.
3. Airport transfers can be arranged on request and are charged in addition.
10. Stay and house rules
1. The riad is a quiet property located in the medina: parties and events are prohibited unless authorised in
advance in writing, and neighbours must be respected, particularly in the evening (terraces).
2. Smoking is prohibited in the bedrooms and indoor areas; outdoor areas are provided for that purpose.
3. Pets are not permitted.
4. Children remain the sole responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults throughout the stay, in
particular around the pool, which is unsupervised.
5. A safe is available at reception. The riad accepts no liability for cash, jewellery or valuables not deposited
in the safe.
6. The riad's staff are present according to the hours communicated on arrival; the guest undertakes to use the
property peaceably and to report any incident or damage without delay.
11. Damage
Any damage, breakage or loss attributable to the guest or their invitees (beyond normal wear and tear) will be
invoiced on the basis of the cost of replacement or repair, supported by documentary evidence.
12. Liability and insurance
1. The riad cannot be held liable for theft, loss of or damage to the guest's personal belongings, save where
fault on the part of the establishment is proven, nor for services provided by external suppliers (transfers,
excursions, guides), who act under their own responsibility.
2. Guests are advised to check that they hold public liability insurance and travel insurance covering their
stay abroad (medical expenses, repatriation, cancellation).
13. Personal data
Data collected in connection with the booking is processed in accordance with the policy described in the
website's legal notice, in compliance with Moroccan law no. 09-08 and, for residents of the European Union,
with the principles of the GDPR.
14. Force majeure
Neither party may be held liable for failure to perform its obligations as a result of an event of force majeure
(natural disaster, administrative decision, epidemic, conflict, general network outage, etc.). In such a case, the
riad will first propose that the stay be postponed; failing agreement, the sums paid will be refunded, to the
exclusion of any other compensation.
15. Complaints, governing law and disputes
1. Any complaint relating to the stay must be raised without delay during the stay so as to allow the riad to
remedy it, and then, where applicable, confirmed in writing within 30 days of departure to:riaddarnum@gmail.com.
2. These Terms are governed by Moroccan law. Failing an amicable settlement, disputes fall within the
jurisdiction of the competent courts of Casablanca, without prejudice to any mandatory protective
provisions available to a consumer guest under the law of their country of residence.
16. Language
These Terms are drafted in French. Any version published in another language, including the English version on
the website, is provided for information purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy between the versions,
only the French version shall be authoritative.
